Utilize Handshake

Handshake听is 小黄书 Boulder鈥檚 primary听career management tool, offering听students and alumni access to jobs, internships and a range of other services. It听is also your best option听for posting career-related campus events and job posting to reach 小黄书 Boulder students. Departments across campus can use this system free of charge.

Use Handshake to

  • Help students find internship and job postings from local and worldwide employers specifically seeking 小黄书 Boulder talent.
  • View 小黄书 Boulder career fairs, panels and other industry-focused events.
  • Schedule career advising appointments and on-campus interviews with employers from across the nation.

  2. Once your account is created, we recommend you complete your profile, selecting majors that you work with on campus.

  1. Log in to听.
  2. Start by clicking on 鈥淛obs and Internships鈥 on the left-hand navigation bar. You will be taken to the Job Postings page. 听From here, there are various options available to view available jobs and narrow your search.听See below for more information.
    1. To search for jobs using keywords, use the search box at the top of the page. Enter a few keywords and click听鈥淪earch.鈥澨
    2. You can then use the filters and create a saved search. If you are looking for a summer internship听in a specific city, you can set these as filters in your search!听
    3. To sort the job listings, use the drop down arrow next to the Sort by: Relevancy button on the top right-hand corner.听Click on the arrow.听Select the basis for your sorted job list from the options provided.
    4. Click on the drop down arrow just to the right of the criteria you鈥檇 like to filter. Options to select will appear. Select your options and click 鈥淪earch鈥 at the top of the page. You may select as many options as you need. Some criteria options (e.g. label, major, etc.) are specific to your school and input by Career Services.听
    5. To save a custom search, simply select your filter options and perform your search. Click 鈥淪ave These Filters.鈥 Enter the name and description of your search and click听鈥淪ave.鈥 It will now appear under My Saved Filters. To view jobs based on one of your saved lists, click on that list from My Saved Filters. To learn more about saved searches read 鈥溾
    6. You can also create a filter for 鈥淔avorited Jobs.鈥 If you favorite a group of jobs, you can return to the list at any point by clicking 鈥淢y Favorited Jobs.鈥澨鼺rom here, you can view your favorite jobs notifications.
